It's been awhile and we have 33 new mixes posted from Adam Beyer, Astral Matrix, Chad Mindrive, Davey Dave, Derrick Carter, Dica, DJ Bone, Frankie Bones, Glenn Garcia, Hyperactive, Jahred, Jimmy Crash, Mike Dearborn, Nigel Richards, Paul Johnson, Prototype 909, Regis, Scott Hardkiss, Steve Kuehl, T-1000, Titonton Duvante, Venom & X-Dream. The names this time around speak for themselves and the mixes are every bit as good as you would expect them to be.
We also want to thank Jeffrey Jenkins Multimedia for volunteering to remaster some of the shabbier sounding mixes. Their first contribution is Volume 1 of Hyperactive's Sound of the Underground and it sounds much better than the version originally posted here. If it's a mixtape you revisit regularly, we highly recommend grabbing the new version of it.

Happy June everybody. For those of still recovering from DEMF hopefully this update will make the techno withdrawal more tolerable.
We have two new mixes from 1.8.7., one from Adam X, two from Dan Efex (one of which is a double pack), five(!) from Derrick Carter, one from 3D, one from Dica, one from DJ Dan, five(!) from ESP Woody McBride, four from Hyperactive (we're only one tape away from completing the 12 of 12 series!), two from Pleasurehead and one from Frankie Bones.
Enjoy the 25 new mixes and we'll see you on the flipside.

We are super excited to announce a partnership with one of our all time favorite DJs, Miles Maeda. In case you missed the news, Miles started a blog last year to share mixes he has done over the years, both new and old, released and unreleased.
Remastered with wonderful commentary and mostly complete tracklistings, this blog is a treasure and we are excited to be able to co-host these mixes here.
If you are wondering where to start, I wouldn't worry too much about picking a bad one. Miles has never released a mix that was anything less than high quality though we're particularly partial to his 1992-1994 mixes, especially the ambient/dub/mellow-techno ones like Savasana and Eve Ryd Ayl If E.
Thanks again to Miles for the support and stay tuned for a more traditional update later this month!

And we're back! First off, sorry for the long delay between updates. We've been dealing with a number changes both personally (our newest crew member is a ravin' baby!) and technically (studio crash required a new computer). The good news is we're back up and running and 20 new mixes were uploaded last weekend, with over a hundred more queued up. The quality and uniqueness of the mixes keeps growing and we've never been more excited about the site and it's potential.
We're also pleased to announce that Dica has been given the title of Forum Ninja and will be overseeing that area of the site. If you are having any difficulties using the forums, please reach out to him and he'll sort you out.
Many thanks to everybody that donated to the site since we last updated. Your support truly keeps this site up and running. While bandwidth costs are dropping somewhat, our listener base continues to grow. Without you to help us out we would not be able to keep the music hosted and organized here. We're averaging just under 6,000 visitors a month and that number should start rising again as we refocus our energies on getting new (old) music uploaded. If you haven't donated to the site yet any amount - no matter how small - helps us.
Now, onto the music. As mentioned above, this is more of a teaser update with only 20 mixes. The biggest highlight is a 4 hour psy-trance mix by Dan Efex. Flawlessly mixed, and the most Goatastic thing we've added in some time. Other new djs include Angel Alanis, Dieselboy, DJ Dan & Kimball Collins. Crack those glowsticks and enjoy! The rest of the artists with new mixes is listed after the jump.

Happy holidays from all of us at RaveArchive.com!
2009 has been a great year for us with over 100 people a day now stopping by to listen to mixtapes, read some classic zines and ask where the flyers are (coming, we promise!). The amount of support that has been shown to the site has been wonderful and we can't thank you enough. Whether it's donating tapes, contributing via paypal or just participating in the forums, we've been so excited to see the site and community grow.
One thing we would love to do in 2010 is port the site from the buggy and slow-as-molasses Joomla to the much better supported and faster running Wordpress. Unfortunately our PHP skills are almost non-existant and we could really use some help with the transition. So if you're a front-end developer with some freetime to help with debugging and tinkering please contact us!
This year Santa brought us a bunch of new mixes including most of the Fever: Time to Get Ill series by Scott Henry & Charles Feelgood, some killer house mixes by Roy Davis Jr & Angel Alanis as well as some classic Jungle tapes by Brockie, Flux, Kenny Ken and many others. We also have two partnerships planned for early 2010 that should be super exciting to everybody but particularly Chicago area househeads. Stay tuned for more info next month! In the meantime the list of all artists with new mixes added since our last update is after the jump.
