Welcome to everyone who is a first time visitor today.  Feel free to look around and more importantly make it a regular stop!  We are always accepting donations to keep this thing running, and I have a feeling we are especially going to need some to cover the increased bandwidth costs after this week.  Please hit the Paypal Link to the right if you can help.  If you have physical media donations please send me an email through the Contacts Link also on the right, it's been down for a few months but is now working again so if you havn't got a reply try it again!

Hope you're all well out there in nostalgic raveland! We're reaching out today because we can really use your help in making the site even better.

Right now, we're transferring around 800GB of data every month, and using 250GB of disk space. We have zero advertising, zero user walls, and we're trying to keep this site as open and as free as possible -- true to the what the scene’s always been about.

Since word of mouth is spreading like wildfire, we’re in the market for a new host. (An Apache server would be ideal, but we're open to other options.) A few technical details: The site currently runs on Joomla, and we drive the music section of the site via Zina.

So we really need your help! Please get in contact with Adam if you have any ideas how how to help the site.

As always, in keeping site costs in check, your donations are massively helpful. Thanks to all the supporters thus far; it really warms our hearts. If you haven't donated yet, please consider doing so. Even $10 can go a long way!

Since the last update, we’ve also put up a bunch of new tapes (many courtesy of Josh Glazer's rare collection) from: Amene, Baby Hec Romero, Boo Williams, Carl Craig, ChrisE, Chip Wankler, Clark Werner, D-84, D-Wynn, Danny The Wildchild, DJ Funk, DMC, Donger, Eric Hinchman, Felix Da Housecat, Geoff K, Greedy, Halo, Hipp-E, Hyperactive, John Aquaviva,Jon Dica, Juan Atkins, Kimberly Nyx, Laurent Garnier, Matt Michaels, Matt Positive, Miles Maeda, Merlyn, Misfit, Mixmaster Morris, Recloose, Rees Urban, Richie Hawtin, Robert Owens, Rotator, Roy Davis Jr, Simon Apex, Sleepy C, Smileshot, SpeedyQs, Speedy J, Spencer Kincy, Stratus, Terrence Parker, and Vortex.

Full list of new tapes is behind the cut. Enjoy!

129 DJs. 258 New Mixes. Yes, It's Been Awhile!

It's been months since we've updated this page but those following us on Twitter or Facebook will have noticed that we've been adding mixtapes regularly.  258 new mixes since the last time we updated the home page!  There are so many fantastic new mixes that we can't choose a couple favorites like we normally do but trust us when we say the quality of these mixes is as high as ever.

At the same time our traffic continues to climb and is higher than ever!

You guys are awesome and your support is the best!  Keeping with the underground athestic, we are running this without ads or paywalls and are heavily dependent upon our users to help pay for the bandwidth associated with hosting over 1000 mixtapes so please, if you have never donated or if it's been awhile since you have donated consider helping us out.  Any amount no matter how large or small is very much appreciated and goes straight into keeping this site up and running!

The full list of new mixes (compiled by the amazing Dica) comes after the jump.

New Mixtapes Are Here!

It's been awhile and we have 33 new mixes posted from Adam Beyer, Astral Matrix, Chad Mindrive, Davey Dave, Derrick Carter, Dica, DJ Bone, Frankie Bones, Glenn Garcia, Hyperactive, Jahred, Jimmy Crash, Mike Dearborn, Nigel Richards, Paul Johnson, Prototype 909, Regis, Scott Hardkiss, Steve Kuehl, T-1000, Titonton Duvante, Venom & X-Dream.  The names this time around speak for themselves and the mixes are every bit as good as you would expect them to be.

We also want to thank Jeffrey Jenkins Multimedia for volunteering to remaster some of the shabbier sounding mixes.  Their first contribution is Volume 1 of  Hyperactive's Sound of the Underground and it sounds much better than the version originally posted here.  If it's a mixtape you revisit regularly, we highly recommend grabbing the new version of it.

Happy Halloween!

altHappy Halloween! It seems like this time every year we reminisce over the crazy costumes we would see at Halloween parties back in the day, the satanic themes and all of the hardcore djs that would be booked.  Who else remembers the crazy amount of "dead raver" costumes from the late 90's? Have a funny halloween party story?  Share it in the comments thread!

We haven't asked in some time but if you visit the site regularly and dig what we are trying to do here please consider donating!  Every dollar goes directly to supporting the site - primarily with our ever-rising bandwidth costs.  No matter how big or small the donation is, it is very very much appreciated.

And now, the list of artists with new tapes added (65 total!) since the last update:

Happy June everybody.  For those of still recovering from DEMF hopefully this update will make the techno withdrawal more tolerable.

We have two new mixes from 1.8.7., one from Adam X, two from Dan Efex (one of which is a double pack), five(!) from Derrick Carter, one from 3D, one from Dica, one from DJ Dan, five(!) from ESP Woody McBride, four from Hyperactive (we're only one tape away from completing the 12 of 12 series!), two from Pleasurehead and one from Frankie Bones.

Enjoy the 25 new mixes and we'll see you on the flipside.
