so as it turns out... 7 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0  
djing, or more accurately beat matching IS NOT, as i was once told, like riding a bicycle.

i know this because:
a. i once learned to ride a bicycle
b. i once learned to beat match
c. i once went 3 yrs without riding a bike
d. i once went 3 yrs with my records in storage
e. i can ride a bicycle as good as ever
f. i seem to be train wrecking a lot

and 7. for some reason even though i haven't played my records in many years, someone called me yesterday and wants me to play on sunday

You should talk to Tame on here about his DJ bootcamp experience (self-imposed). He'd gone years without mixing and then suddenly found himself on a flyer to play out with Jellybean so he had to get back 'in shape' for the event. It'll come back eventually, but yeah make sure you play on Sunday once everyone is drunk and play a lot of anthems

i know i'm a little behind the times when it comes to 'internet dj culture' or whatever, but i accidentally stumbled across like a zillion youtube videos of kids just mixing. not DMC or anything interesting...just videos of kids beat matching records. weird.

what i'm really saying is that tranerek probably needs to make one of these asap w/ NSYNC + ecko attire.
